Overview
- Around 7:40 a.m., a school minibus crossed into the oncoming lane in a left-hand curve and struck a small van head-on in Böbing’s town center near the Raiffeisenbank.
- Those injured included the 27-year-old schoolbus driver, three primary-school children, two accompanying adults, and the 43-year-old driver of the other vehicle, all with light injuries.
- Emergency responders treated the injured in a nearby bank building, and the children were reported to be in shock.
- Fire departments from Böbing and Rottenbuch each deployed about 20 personnel, according to local fire commander Peter Erhard.
- The driver said passengers distracted him before the crash, police estimated roughly €40,000 in damage, and school leader Lars Heimke said the children were taken home rather than to class.
