Serial Intruder Who Grabbed Ariana Grande Ejected From Lady Gaga’s Brisbane Show

Security acted on tour warnings, aided by fan vigilance after his Singapore conviction.

Overview

  • Johnson Wen, 26, was identified at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium and escorted out before Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball stop began, according to fan videos and his own Instagram post.
  • Suncorp Stadium said the tour had alerted them that a known serial offender might try to attend, so he was deemed a person of interest, identified by security, and handed to police before showtime.
  • Concertgoer footage shows Wen appearing to wear a disguise, including a wig, sunglasses and a fake moustache, as security removed him and took off his wristbands and lanyard.
  • Wen wrote on Instagram that he was “kicked out” and that early fans were booing him, a claim echoed by crowd reactions captured in multiple clips.
  • In November, Wen received nine days in jail for being a public nuisance after rushing Ariana Grande at Singapore’s Wicked: For Good premiere, was deported, and was barred from re-entering Singapore, prompting venues and tour security to circulate his photo for pre-show identification.
