Overview
- Police said a street argument in Greater Grand Crossing led to a triple shooting on the 7900 block of South Drexel Avenue.
- A 33-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 29-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, and both were listed in fair condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
- A 17-year-old boy in the same incident suffered a graze wound to his eyebrow and was reported in good condition.
- In a separate West Lawn attack on the 4000 block of West 69th Street, the Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man killed as 19-year-old Giovannie E. Vargas of Cary.
