Señor de los Milagros to Return to Callao on Oct. 26 After 22 Years

Authorities have finalized a multi‑agency operation with police, firefighters, CCTV and ambulances for an expected turnout of more than 100,000.

Overview

  • The image will depart the Santuario de las Nazarenas aboard the Nazareno Móvil with a morning arrival around 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Av. La Marina and Insurgentes for an official welcome.
  • The announced route runs from Av. Tacna through Nicolás de Piérola, Óscar R. Benavides, Tingo María, Mariano H. Cornejo, Universitaria and La Marina to Guardia Chalaca, Sáenz Peña and Pacífico.
  • After the reception, the anda will be carried on shoulders along Av. Sáenz Peña to República de Panamá and Pacífico, followed by a 2:00 p.m. solemn mass featuring the Señor del Mar and the Virgen del Carmen de la Legua.
  • Callao has planned a deployment of about 1,500 municipal and police personnel, six ambulances, 15 Civil Defense tents and 15 video‑surveillance cameras, with COER coordinating alongside PNP, firefighters, the Red Cross and church authorities.
  • The return to Lima will follow Sáenz Peña, Guardia Chalaca, La Marina, Universitaria, Mariano Cornejo, Tingo María, Óscar R. Benavides, Nicolás de Piérola and Tacna, and the National Police has announced temporary traffic restrictions.
