- The PGA Tour Champions announced May 26–27 that the Senior Players Championship will depart Firestone after the July 9–12, 2026 edition, ending an unbroken run of professional events at the course since 1954.
- Hoag has signed a five-year title-sponsorship through 2031 to relaunch the tournament as the Hoag Senior Player Championship at Newport Beach Country Club with a new late-March calendar spot beginning in 2027.
