SENER Announces Two-Day Energy Innovation Fair at MUNET

The public fair promotes a planned, just shift to renewable power through talks, workshops, and demos.

Overview

  • SENER will host the Energy and Innovation Fair on April 14–15 at the National Museum of Energy and Technology (MUNET) in Chapultepec, Mexico City, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Energy Secretary Luz Elena González Escobar will open the event with the keynote lecture titled “Energy, Innovation and Sovereignty: The New Paradigm for Strategic Development.”
  • The program lists talks by SENER Undersecretary Jorge Marcial Islas Samperio on strategic planning and by Juan Carlos Solís Ávila on regulation with social justice and energy sovereignty.
  • Sessions on April 15 include a Pemex talk by Víctor Rodríguez Padilla on bioenergy value chains and a joint presentation by CFE’s Emilia Calleja Alor and SENER’s Antonio Rojas Nieto on sustainability-driven public-sector innovation.
  • MUNET’s role reflects a long-running modernization effort managed through the FIMUNET trust with Banorte as fiduciary, while the museum property remains owned by the state utility CFE.
