Seggiano Recalls Two Torrone Products Over Undeclared Milk and Soya

The UK food watchdog warns undeclared milk or soya in specific Seggiano torrone batches poses a risk to allergic consumers.

Overview

  • The Food Standards Agency issued an England-specific allergy alert on 19 March 2026 after labeling errors were identified on Seggiano confectionery.
  • Chocolate Covered Torrone 125g is affected in batch code 250925 with a best-before date of 25 September 2026.
  • Pistachio and Chocolate Covered Torrone 125g is affected in batch codes 011225 (best before 01 December 2026) and 260925 (best before 26 September 2026).
  • The FSA states the undeclared allergens are milk and soya, including soy lecithin, posing a health risk to people with milk or soya allergies or intolerances.
  • Seggiano is withdrawing the specified batches, issuing point-of-sale notices, advising allergic customers not to eat the products, and offering full refunds on return, with further help available via 0207 272 5588 or info@seggiano.com.
