Sega Drops Multiple Sonic Releases During 35th-Anniversary Livestream

Raising funds for St. Jude, the fan-focused broadcast delivered surprise game releases and updates that expand Sonic’s lineup.

  • Sega ran a 35th-anniversary livestream on Tuesday, June 23, broadcast on the official Sonic Twitch and YouTube channels and co-hosted by GamesCage, Jacki Jing, and RogersBase while raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
  • The stream shadow-dropped Sonic Frontiers – Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, a release that packages the base game with previously released updates and improved graphics and performance for that platform.
