- Acworth police say 28-year-old Jordan Alexander Jones was working security at Saddle Bar when he intervened in a fight and was shot in the parking lot after the suspect retrieved a firearm.
- Officers responded around 2:46 a.m. to the Cowan Road venue and Jones was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he died.
- Daniel Di Vonne Parsons, 25, was arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery, and is being held in the Cobb County detention center without bond.
