- Google announced Kameirah, an 18-year-old Lakeside School senior from Renton, Wash., as the national winner on June 4, 2026 after public voting and guest-judge review.
- Her Doodle, titled “Hair Power: The Crown That Grows From Us,” uses textured hair as a symbol of family, culture and resilience and transforms the letters of the Google logo into three crowned figures.
- The win places Kameirah’s artwork on the Google homepage for millions to see and comes with a $55,000 college scholarship for her and a $50,000 technology package for her school.
- Finalists each received a $10,000 college scholarship and local recognition, and this year’s judging included NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo and educator Ashlie Crosson who reviewed the public vote.
- Now in its 17th year, Doodle for Google drew tens of thousands of K–12 entries and serves as a national platform that highlights youth art, cultural storytelling, and school-level support.
