Overview
- Seasonic announced that its Prime Enterprise RX-1600, a 1600W ATX unit, is the first ATX power supply certified 80 PLUS Ruby at 115V, validating the new top efficiency tier.
- The Ruby standard raises low-load targets compared with earlier levels and requires specific efficiencies such as 85% at 5% load, 91% at 10% load, 93% at 20% load, 95% at 50% load, 91% at full load, and a power factor of at least 0.95 at 20% load.
- Seasonic positions the RX-1600 for demanding desktops, workstations and AI systems where long run times and high power draw make even small efficiency gains meaningful for energy use and thermal stress.
