- Angelica Brophy, a 44-year-old ER nurse and mother of two, was last seen on July 6 after dropping her daughter at camp and was captured on casino surveillance that afternoon.
- Investigators say Brophy’s vehicle entered Palomar Mountain State Park around 4:20 p.m. on July 6 and her car was found in the park’s lot on July 9 with no sign of her.
- Multi-agency search-and-rescue teams have combed roughly 1,800 acres of rugged terrain using drones, K-9s, horses and dive teams with searches of Doane Pond producing no evidence of her whereabouts.
- Oceanside police say they have no evidence of foul play, that a phone ping on July 8 returned no location because the phone was off or dead, and they are treating the case as an open investigation.
- Family members and dozens of volunteers have held searches and a vigil while authorities urge anyone with information or video from July 6 between 2 and 6 p.m. to contact Oceanside Police so investigators can follow new leads.
