Sealdah Division Launches AC Kalyani Local on Dec. 4, Extends Krishnanagar Service to Sundays

Overview

• The Sealdah–Kalyani air‑conditioned local (31347/31344) begins commercial service on 4 December, running Monday through Saturday.
• The Kalyani service leaves Sealdah at 3:35 p.m. and arrives at 4:52 p.m., returning from Kalyani at 5:02 p.m. to reach Sealdah at 6:20 p.m.
• The Sealdah–Krishnanagar AC local (31847) adds a Sunday operation from 7 December with a 11:55 a.m. departure from Sealdah and a 4:05 p.m. return from Krishnanagar.
• Divisional railway officials state the added Sunday run is intended to facilitate weekend travel for visitors and devotees.
• An extended non‑AC service from BBD Bag to Kalyani will also operate to strengthen connectivity to Nadia district’s educational hub.
