  • The bronze by sculptor Martin Moore, unveiled Friday in Ballarat, adds Morrison as the 30th leader on Prime Ministers Avenue.

  • Organisers say a private donor paid for this commission and pledged to cover the next four busts as the collection grows.
  • After a January 23, 2025 attack that cut off two heads and damaged 18 others, the site gained full CCTV coverage and 24/7 patrols, with repairs reported to top $100,000.
  • Founded in 1940 to display every Australian prime minister, the avenue has also seen protest art, including a coal-themed Morrison bust placed in 2022 and later acquired by Ballarat’s gallery.
