Overview
- Scoot, which announced Thursday, will start twice-weekly Singapore–Belitung flights on May 3 and three weekly Singapore–Pontianak flights on June 29.
- Bookings opened on April 9 via the airline’s website and app with starter fares from S$99 to Belitung and S$129 to Pontianak.
- Both routes will use Embraer E190-E2 regional jets that let airlines serve smaller cities with lighter demand more efficiently.
- Scoot will raise frequencies on several routes to support school-holiday travel, moving Phuket to 21 weekly in April and boosting Bali and Jakarta to 35 weekly in June.
- The carrier says the changes lift its network to 85 destinations across 18 countries, and it notes all schedules remain subject to government approvals.
