Overview
- SAWS forecasts extremely high fire danger on Monday over the interior of the Northern Cape, the Cape Winelands, Central and Little Karoo, and the eastern Overberg, extending to parts of the Eastern Cape.
- Heat advisories include very hot to extremely hot conditions in Eastern Cape municipalities such as Dr Beyers Naudé, Blue Crane Route, Sundays River Valley and Raymond Mhlaba.

- Residents are urged to avoid flooded routes, take heat and fire precautions and follow official updates, and a reported Orange Level 5 thunderstorm warning for parts of the Free State and North West was noted in one outlet but remains disputed.
