Overview
- The agreement links Air India’s Delhi and Mumbai hubs to Saudia’s domestic network, including codeshare coverage on the Jeddah–Riyadh route for arrive-in-one, depart-from-another flexibility.
- Air India passengers traveling to Jeddah or Riyadh will gain seamless onward connections on Saudia to Dammam, Abha, Gassim, Gizan, Madinah and Taif.
- Saudia customers will access Indian cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow and Jaipur via Air India’s network, with more than 15 additional points available through interline.
- The carriers said they plan to add select international connections later this year to extend the partnership beyond India and Saudi Arabia.
- Executives framed the tie-up as serving tourism, business travel and the large Indian diaspora, aligning with Air India’s partnership push that includes about 24 codeshares and nearly 100 interline deals.
