Santa Ana Winds Bring SoCal Advisories, Gusts to 50 MPH and a Midweek Warm-Up

Forecasters expect a brief warm spike to the 80s during the peak offshore flow.

  • The National Weather Service has wind advisories in effect until 2 p.m. Wednesday for the San Gabriel Mountains and the 5 and 14 freeway corridors.
  • Northeast winds of 25 to 35 mph with localized gusts up to 50 mph are forecast in the hardest-hit corridors.
