San Pedro Police Shut Down Clandestine Party With 350–400 Minors, Detain 11

Prosecutors are reviewing the case following a raid prompted by a noise complaint followed by a parent’s call.

Overview

  • Officers entered a house on Río Mónaco in the San Patricio neighborhood and found between 350 and 400 minors, many intoxicated or unable to reach their families.
  • Police seized alcohol, suspected narcotics, a 9 mm handgun, radio equipment, scales, ballistic helmets, and more than 100,000 pesos in cash.
  • Eleven suspected organizers were detained, medically certified at the C2 facility, and presented to the Ministerio Público for a possible corruption-of-minors investigation.
  • The operation was led by Security Secretary José Luis David Kuri with support from Municipal Police, the Intelligence Group, and the National Guard.
  • Authorities said the event was arranged via WhatsApp at an abandoned property rented informally, and parents collected the teenagers after the site was secured.
