Overview
- The San Diego Fleet Week Foundation canceled all Broadway Pier public outreach scheduled for Nov. 5–9 after being advised Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard assets are unavailable during the shutdown.
- Scrubbed activities include Student STEM Days (Nov. 5–7), a USS Midway community breakfast (Nov. 5), public ship visits (Nov. 7–9), and the Veterans & Military Boat Parade (Nov. 8).
- Events not reliant on military support will proceed or move, including the Fleet Week Football Classic on Nov. 1 at Snapdragon Stadium, Military Family Day on Nov. 9 at a different venue, and the Enlisted Recognition Luncheon on Nov. 21 at the San Diego Zoo.
