Overview
- Damon Jon Luecke, 53, was arrested at his Gilroy home on Aug. 7 and has been charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor, with an arraignment held at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill.
- Authorities say Luecke communicated with a 13-year-old on TikTok, the child disclosed his age during messages, and the pair later met in person while the suspect allegedly continued sexually explicit conversations.
- Investigators obtained search warrants for the victim’s phone and online accounts and recovered sexually explicit images that prosecutors say identify Luecke as the source.
- Luecke is employed as an IT staff analyst at the San Benito County Probation Department and previously spent about 16 years with the San Mateo County Probation Department, including work as a juvenile corrections officer at the Boys Ranch.
- The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office and Gilroy Police are asking anyone with information to come forward as they search for other potential victims and note the defendant faces possible prison time if convicted.
