Samsung Widens One UI 8.5 Beta to Galaxy S24 Line, Foldables and FE Models

The broader beta signals Samsung’s push to speed polish through wider real‑world testing.

  • Samsung said Thursday the Android 16–based preview is now live for the Galaxy S24 line, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, S25 FE, S24 FE and Tab S11 in India, South Korea, the UK and the US.
  • The Galaxy S24 FE received its first build in India under firmware S721BXXUAZZCD at about 4.17GB with the March 2026 security patch, with availability also noted in South Korea.
  • The Galaxy S25 FE also joined in India and South Korea with firmware S731BXXU5ZZCE and S731NXXU5ZZCE at roughly 3.5GB, and reports point to UK and US access next.
  • One UI 8.5 adds AI features such as Photo Assist with an edit history, more natural Bixby voice controls, partial screen recording, theft‑protection locks and a redesigned battery page.
  • Development is active with Beta 8 for the Galaxy S25 family and Beta 2 for the Z Fold7, enrollment runs through the Samsung Members app, and outlets urge backups and caution on daily‑use phones.
