Samsung Starts March 2026 Security Update for Galaxy S25, Z Fold 7/Flip 7, and Fold 6/Flip 6

The security-only packages begin in South Korea with tracked firmware builds, foreshadowing a near-term global expansion.

Overview

  • The rollout began in South Korea for the Galaxy S25 lineup and Galaxy Z Fold 7/Z Flip 7 before extending to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.
  • Identified builds include S93xNKSS8BZC1 for the S25 series, F966NKSS8AZC1 and F766NKSS8AZC1 for the Fold 7 and Flip 7, and F956NKSS3CZC1 and F741NKSS3CZC1 for the Fold 6 and Flip 6.
  • The March patch addresses 65 vulnerabilities, with eight rated critical, comprising 60 fixes from Google and five from Samsung.
  • These updates exceed 500MB and deliver security fixes only, with no new features or performance changes, and distribution will expand in stages to additional regions.
  • One UI 8.5 is already stable on the Galaxy S26, remains in beta for the S25 and newer foldables, and server-listed builds suggest a wider release could follow soon across more device tiers.
