Overview
- Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 FE on Thursday as the newest member of the S26 family, confirming specifications and features at its August event.
- The U.S. starting price is $699 with select-carrier sales beginning Sept. 3 and wider availability on Sept. 4, while some regional pricing and rollouts — notably India — remain unannounced.
- Hardware includes Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset worldwide, a 6.7-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED display (1,900 nits peak), a 50MP main + 12MP ultrawide + 8MP 3x telephoto camera array, a 4,900mAh battery, IP68, and 45W wired charging.
- Samsung has ported flagship software to the FE: One UI 9 on Android 17, Galaxy AI features such as Now Brief, Now Nudge, Photo Assist, Audio Eraser, Gemini Omni, and My FanCam for AI-driven subject tracking and reframing.
- Samsung is offering seven major Android upgrades and seven years of security patches for the S26 FE, a move that aims to offset hardware compromises and a $50 price rise versus last year’s FE amid component-cost pressures.
