Samsung Launches Galaxy A57 and A37 in India With 6-Year Updates and IP68

The A57’s higher price signals a shift toward selling longevity plus durability over peak performance.

Overview

  • Samsung, which introduced the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G in India on Thursday, opened pre-orders with open sales set for April 10.
  • Prices are set at Rs 56,999 for the A57 8GB/256GB and Rs 62,499 for 12GB/256GB, while the A37 starts at Rs 41,999 for 8GB/128GB and reaches Rs 52,999 for 12GB/256GB.
  • Both phones add premium durability with IP68 water and dust resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus+, and they ship with a 6-year promise for Android OS upgrades and security updates.
  • The A57 runs Samsung’s Exynos 1680 and the A37 uses the Exynos 1480, with each featuring a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, and a 50MP main camera with OIS.
  • The A57’s price sits close to Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE, so Samsung is offering Rs 3,000 bank or UPI cashback, 24‑month zero‑interest EMI, or a Rs 3,000 upgrade bonus to ease the step up.
