Samsung Expands June 2026 Security Patch to More Galaxy Phones Including S23 FE
Patching 45 vulnerabilities including five critical flaws, the release reflects Samsung’s staged, security-first rollout with One UI 9 still in testing.
Overview
- The Galaxy S23 FE has begun receiving the June 2026 security update in India and parts of Asia and Europe as firmware S711BXXSGGZF2, a roughly 282.4MB download.
- Samsung is also pushing the June patch to a wider set of devices such as the Galaxy S24, S23, S22 series and recent foldables with reports of availability for some U.S. units including Verizon models.
- The package fixes 45 vulnerabilities in total — 33 items from Google’s Android Security Bulletin and 12 Samsung fixes — and includes five issues rated critical that could allow serious exploits if left unpatched.
- Rollout is staged by region and carrier so arrival can vary by a few days and users can check for the update in Settings > Software update then download and install, a process that typically takes about 5–10 minutes after download.
- One UI 9 (Android 17) continues to be tested internally and feature updates may arrive separately, which explains why most June builds are security-only even though some earlier regional firmware briefly bundled Galaxy AI backports that increased file sizes.
