Samsung Expands July 2026 Security Patch and Releases One UI 9 Beta 4 for Galaxy S26

Samsung is using staged regional testing to ready its software for a wider One UI 9 stable release after its upcoming foldable launches.

Overview

  • The Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra are receiving the July 2026 security patch outside South Korea as firmware S94xBXXS4AZG5, a roughly 500MB over-the-air update that addresses 57 vulnerabilities.
  • One UI 9 Beta 4 is rolling out in India to enrolled Galaxy S26 series devices as firmware S948BXXU4ZZG4, a roughly 1.25GB package that also includes the July security fixes and stability work.
  • Beta 4’s changelog fixes concrete issues such as abnormal clock sizing when rotating the lock screen, Privacy Display toggle failures, the navigation bar disappearing during some games, Quick Panel UI slowdowns, cut-off timer notifications, and a Routines Bluetooth media volume bug.
  • Samsung could deliver additional One UI 9 beta builds for the S26 series before issuing a stable Android 17-based One UI 9 release that the company plans to time after the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 launches.
  • Users should check Settings > Software update > Check for updates to see availability, ensure at least 30% battery and enough free storage before installing, and expect the rollout to remain region staged so timing will vary by country and model.
