Overview
- Samsung published its August 2026 security bulletin on Aug. 4 listing 56 fixes that combine 38 Google-disclosed CVEs and 18 Samsung SVEs.
- Google-supplied fixes include eight items rated critical and 30 rated high, while Samsung reported two high and 14 moderate priority fixes plus two with undisclosed priority.
- Nine Google-disclosed fixes are excluded from Samsung’s August package because one was already patched in July and eight do not apply to Samsung devices.
- Most fixes target Galaxy phones and tablets running Android 14–16 and address vulnerabilities in Contacts, Dialer, Messages, Galaxy Themes, access control and the system clipboard, codecs, and the cellular radio.
- The update is expected to roll out in staged waves likely starting in South Korea with the newest flagship models first and variable timing by carrier, region, and device model.
