Samsung Confirms Satellite Connectivity for Galaxy S26 Across North America, Europe and Japan

Availability will roll out in phases, dependent on carrier activation, regional trials and regulatory clearance.

  • Samsung says the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra will support satellite-based messaging and data in the three regions.
  • The company lists active and planned partnerships with T-Mobile’s T‑Satellite/Starlink, Verizon and AT&T in the U.S., Virgin Media O2 plus Vodafone and MasOrange in Europe, and KDDI, Docomo, SoftBank and Rakuten Mobile in Japan.
  • Support extends beyond the S26 lineup to select older Galaxy flagship and A‑series devices, with availability varying by operator and model.
  • Japan’s KDDI has already provided satellite texting, data and ETWS alerts on Galaxy S22 and newer flagships as well as Galaxy A models since 2025, with additional Japanese carriers onboarding through 2026.
  • Samsung says it is working with more operators globally to broaden satellite features and to expand support across additional Galaxy product categories.
