Overview
- Samsung opened a temporary Samsung Connect showcase in central Berlin to demonstrate its “Your Companion to AI Living” ecosystem, bringing Vision AI Companion on 2026 TVs together with Galaxy phones, wearables, high-refresh monitors and Bespoke AI appliances for a hands-on look during the Sept. 2–6 run.
- LG is presenting about 150 products under “Innovation Tailored to You,” debuting ThinQ Clo/Claw as a text-based, context-aware AI agent built into the next-gen ThinQ ON hub and showing ThinQ Pro for B2B customers in Europe.
- Several headline features remain demonstration-stage: LG has not announced launch dates, pricing or markets for ThinQ Clo/Claw, and Samsung has not given sales dates for some Bespoke AI washer models and other appliance features.
- Both companies highlighted energy and smart-home use cases: Samsung showed Bespoke AI washers that it says cut energy use dramatically versus Europe’s Class A minimum, and LG demonstrated Homey-based energy management that links appliances with smart meters, solar, home batteries and EV chargers.
- The two approaches present trade-offs for consumers and partners—Samsung bets on tighter value when people own multiple Samsung devices, while LG aims for broader device interoperability through an agent—and the industry will be watching availability, pricing and real-world energy performance as the next test.
