Samsung and Barclays Launch Samsung Galaxy Card in U.S.

The co-branded Visa card is designed to deepen Samsung Wallet use and open a path for broader financial products from the company.

Overview

  • Samsung and Barclays publicly unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Card on Monday, July 20, 2026, with early-access applications available immediately and general public applications set to open on July 22.
  • The no-annual-fee card is issued by Barclays on the Visa network and is provisioned directly into Samsung Wallet so users can apply, manage accounts, track spending, and redeem rewards from their Galaxy devices.
  • Rewards are tiered: 5% cash back on purchases made directly from Samsung, 3% on Samsung Wallet purchases, 2% on eligible streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify, and 1% on other purchases.
  • Launch incentives include a $200 cash reward after $2,000 spent in the first 90 days and a 20% discount on Samsung VIP Advantage when paid with the Galaxy Card, plus virtual and premium metal card options.
  • Executives said the product is the first step in a longer push into financial services by Samsung and Barclays, a move that could make smartphones more central to payments, deepen customer loyalty for Samsung, and intensify competition with other wallet ecosystems.
