Samsung Adds Live Network Speed Meter to Galaxy Status Bar Via QuickStar

Overview

• In mid-June, reporters discovered an updated QuickStar module inside Samsung’s Good Lock on One UI 9 beta that places a real‑time network speed indicator in the status bar.
• The indicator displays live upload and download throughput in K/s, M/s or GB/s and works on both Wi‑Fi and mobile data while it does not report cellular or Wi‑Fi signal strength.
• The option requires One UI 9 (Android 17) and is currently limited to Galaxy S26 beta builds in the US, UK, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea.
