Overview
- The national ceremony, which took place Monday at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre, crowned Posadas and James as Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor.
- Each winner was presented a $25,000 check by the Nederlander Producing Company of America to help fund their education, while six finalists received $5,000 scholarships.
- Organizers also awarded multiple $2,500 category scholarships for ensemble work, showstopper moments, dance, vocals and other distinctions.
- The event featured 116 nominees from 58 regional programs, a ten-day intensive with Broadway coaches, and a judging panel of producers, directors and casting leaders.
- The Jimmy Awards have granted more than $9 million in scholarships since 2009 and the program is credited with helping over 90 alumni reach Broadway or national tours.
