- Crews reinstalled the temple’s historic east doors on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, completing a carefully staged hoisting operation that took about three hours to secure the 12-foot, 580-pound panels.
- Church project managers say the renovation is now more than 90% complete and that furniture and artwork will be installed by August with overall work expected to finish this fall.
- The doors were removed in February 2020, restored off-site over thousands of labor hours in a climate-controlled shop, repaired with color-matching epoxy and fitted with steel reinforcement and updated emergency hardware to extend their life.
