RZA Unveils Red-Band and New Trailers for 'One Spoon of Chocolate' Ahead of May 1 Release

Tarantino’s presenter role frames the rollout as a throwback genre play.

36 Cinema Distribution and Variance Films dropped a retro red-band cut and a second official trailer Monday to tee up the U.S. theatrical opening on May 1 with select 35mm screenings.
RZA wrote, directed, and produced the revenge thriller, which is presented by Quentin Tarantino.
Shameik Moore stars as Unique, a veteran and ex-con who probes a string of disappearances in a small town and runs into a gang and a possibly corrupt sheriff’s office.
The cast also features RJ Cyler, Paris Jackson, Rockmond Dunbar, Emyri Crutchfield, Johnell Young, Harry Goodwins, Michael Harney, and Blair Underwood.
The film is rated R for strong violence, some gore, pervasive harsh language including slurs, sexual content and nudity, and drug use, pairing with 35mm bookings to court adult, grindhouse-minded audiences.
