Overview
- Elena Rybakina clinched qualification by beating Victoria Mboko 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the Pan Pacific Open quarter-final to reach the Tokyo semi-finals.
- The WTA Finals singles field is now set: Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Jasmine Paolini and Rybakina.
- Mirra Andreeva missed out on the last spot and is the first alternate, with Ekaterina Alexandrova next in line.
