Russia's Weekly Inflation Eases to 0.04% as October GDP Accelerates

Officials call the improvement temporary, urging structural reforms.

  • The Economic Development Ministry estimated GDP growth at 1.6% year on year in October, with a seasonally adjusted 1.1% monthly rise, as Deputy Minister Polina Kryuchkova warned the gains reflect local and temporary factors.
