Russia Launches Massive Overnight Strike on Ukraine, With Dnipro Hardest Hit

  • Following Saturday's overnight combined barrage, Ukraine said it detected 619 attack drones and 47 missiles and neutralized about 610 targets.
  • Dnipro suffered the main blow, with two bodies recovered, up to five people feared trapped under a collapsed residential building, and at least 21 wounded, the regional governor said.
  • Casualties were also reported in other regions, including two killed and seven wounded in Chernihiv, a married couple killed in Odesa where homes and a merchant ship were hit, and two civilians killed by a drone strike in Kherson.
  • Kyiv Oblast officials reported damage to critical infrastructure in the Bila Tserkva area after debris fell and caused a fire, with no civilian casualties confirmed.
  • Romania said RAF Eurofighter jets on a NATO patrol engaged drones near the UkraineRomania border, and President Volodymyr Zelensky called for faster deliveries of air defenses as Russia continues high-volume drone-and-missile attacks on cities and infrastructure.
