RTL Group 2025 Revenue Falls 3.8% as Streaming Jumps, Fremantle Slumps

Management points to 2026 profit gains, with growth tied to a planned Sky Deutschland deal awaiting EU approval.

Overview

  • Full-year revenue came in at €6.018 billion, down 3.8% year over year, with adjusted EBITA of €661 million in line with guidance.
  • Streaming revenue rose 26% to €509 million as paying subscribers increased 19% to 8.1 million, and segment losses narrowed to €47 million with near break-even in the fourth quarter.
  • Fremantle revenue declined 9.4% to roughly €2.03 billion, mainly from weaker entertainment sales in the U.S. and U.K., prompting a €125 million impairment alongside a €201 million charge at RTL Deutschland.
