- RSPCA said it removed over 250 mostly poodle-mix dogs from a single household and confirmed a widely shared image of the animals is real.
- The charity took in 87 dogs and placed the rest with partner groups, including Dogs Trust, after finding many with filthy, matted coats and some undernourished.
- Most of the animals are being treated at the RSPCA’s Radcliffe Animal Centre, and some have already been rehomed.
- The charity said the owners were extremely vulnerable, the breeding had spiraled, and it opted for support over prosecution while keeping the location private.
