Kansas City signed 35-year-old reliever Anthony Gose to a minor-league deal Tuesday and assigned him to Triple-A Omaha.
The Royals are seeking bullpen help as their relievers rank 29th in ERA this season.
A former MLB outfielder from 2012–16, Gose moved to the mound in 2017 and later reached the majors as a pitcher with Cleveland.
