Royal Enfield Unveils Flying Flea C6 Specs Ahead of India Launch

The bike marks Royal Enfield’s move into electric commuting with a lightweight design and a range claim that is drawing scrutiny.

Overview

  • Royal Enfield, which revealed full production specifications on Tuesday, plans to launch the Flying Flea C6 in India on April 10.
  • The C6 pairs a 3.91 kWh battery with a 15.4 kW motor and 60 Nm of torque, claiming 0–60 km/h in 3.7 seconds, a 115 km/h top speed, a 124 kg kerb weight, and a 154 km IDC range.
  • Charging via the onboard unit is quoted at about 2 hours 16 minutes for 0–100% and roughly 65 minutes for 20–80% under stated conditions.
  • Equipment includes a girder front fork, rear monoshock, 19-inch narrow tyres, belt drive, lean-sensitive dual-channel ABS, traction and cornering traction control, and a 3.5-inch touch TFT with smartphone features, Google navigation, and wireless phone charging.
  • Coverage notes skepticism of the 154 km figure because IDC is a lab test cycle that runs at gentle speeds, with some analysts warning real-world city range will be lower; expected pricing is reported around INR 2–3 lakh, positioning it as a premium urban EV.
