Overview
- DAE said on January 29 it will provide 13 new 737-8s to Royal Air Maroc under a long-term lease, with deliveries slated for 2027.
- The agreement extends a partnership that saw two DAE-leased 737-8s join the Moroccan carrier in 2025.
- Royal Air Maroc is covering winter capacity with four wet-leased A320-200s sourced from Heston Airlines and Avion Express Malta.
- The airline already operates thirteen dry-leased 737-8s, expects one more from Castlelake now stored at Doha, and fields twenty-eight 737-800s plus a 737-800(BBJ).
- Executives said the aircraft will improve efficiency and support network growth as the carrier plans for 200 new-aircraft deliveries from 2028 and a goal to lease about one-third of its fleet by 2035.
