Rohit Sharma Receives Honorary Doctorate From Ajeenkya DY Patil University in Mumbai

The recognition follows his recent exit from Tests and T20Is, with his ODI career continuing.

Rohit Sharma was conferred a D.Litt. at Ajeenkya DY Patil University’s 10th Convocation in Mumbai.
ADYPU said the honour recognises his contribution to cricket along with qualities such as resilience and strategic acumen, calling him the sport’s “Hitman.”
The ceremony was presided over by President and Chancellor Dr Ajeenkya D. Y. Patil and featured a star-studded gathering.
Other honourees included Maharashtra minister Pankaja Gopinath Munde, Sanatan Dharma Foundation founder Sudesh Aggarwal, Goldiam International Ltd executive chair Rashesh Bhansali, and social entrepreneur Manoj Pochat.
Sharma’s leadership résumé spans five IPL titles with Mumbai Indians and India’s T20 World Cup 2024 and Champions Trophy 2025 triumphs.
