Overview
- The Colorado Rockies unveiled the statue Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at the main Coors Field entrance at 20th and Blake before the Guardians game.
- The bronze is 15 feet tall, weighs about 800 pounds, and was created by Loveland sculptors George and Mark Lundeen after a formal sitting with Walker last November.
- The pose recreates Walker’s three-run walk-off home run celebration from Aug. 18, 1999, when he homered off Braves closer John Rocker.
- Walker delivered an emotional speech thanking fans, teammates and his father, later threw out the first pitch with Ferguson Jenkins catching, and was joined at the ceremony by Todd Helton, Bob Gebhard and team leaders.
- The statue is the first permanent player monument outside Coors Field and launches a program that will include Todd Helton’s statue on Sept. 19, 2026, giving fans a visible link to the franchise’s Hall of Famers and history.
