Overview
- Robot.com announced the commercial launch of R-noid on Monday, presenting the wheeled humanoid at Automate 2026 and saying lighthouse deployments are already live.
- The company reports fewer than 40 R-noids in commercial use across about a dozen customers, including a packer deployment at Harbor Links Golf Course in New York.
- R-noid is built for five solution categories—Restaurant Assistant, Packer, Picker, Folder, and Host—and can perform 19 deployable tasks at launch.
- The robot pairs dual 7-degree-of-freedom arms, a 4-DoF torso with up to 1.9 m reach and a holonomic base with on-board NVIDIA Jetson compute, and runs manipulation models from Physical Intelligence and autonomy stacks from FieldAI.
- Robot.com says it can move from first site visit to autonomous operation in eight to twelve weeks under a RaaS model, but its autonomy, performance and cost-savings claims come from early pilots and require broader validation as deployments scale.
