RoboCop: Rogue City Steam Update Briefly Uploaded Unannounced Hunter: The Reckoning Build

The upload was reverted within half an hour, leaving only SteamDB records plus player screenshots as evidence.

Overview

  • SteamDB logs show a March 6 update that removed RoboCop: Rogue City’s files and temporarily deployed a separate build before the original game was restored about 30–31 minutes later.
  • Users Silent, Edness, and jas0n_098 captured evidence including a title screen reading Hunter: The Reckoning and early first-person investigation gameplay focused on a bar shootout.
  • The temporary package included executables labeled “Hunter.exe” and “Hunter - Win64 - Shipping.exe” with references to “HuntingSim,” a default Unreal Engine icon, and no copyright data, indicating a work-in-progress build.
  • Gematsu reports the build carried a May 20, 2025 date and a credits screen naming Teyon, the RoboCop developer, as the team behind the unfinished project.
  • Teyon and publisher Nacon have not confirmed the project’s status, and with World of Darkness rights held by Paradox/White Wolf, Nacon’s recent insolvency raises open questions about any prospective publishing arrangement.
