Overview
- Roblox, which announced the plan Friday, will roll out Roblox Plus globally on April 30 for $4.99 per month.
- Subscribers get 10% off in-game and avatar purchases that rises to 20% after three consecutive months, free private servers, fee-free Robux transfers with parental approval for minors, and the ability to trade, resell, and publish avatar items.
- Roblox says it will cover subscriber discounts so creators earn the same per item, and reported terms include payouts up to 100 Robux when a Plus user spends at least 60 minutes in a paid private server over 30 days in one of the five servers they used most.
- New sign-ups for Roblox Premium are closing, existing Premium members keep their plan and get a one-month Plus trial, and on May 30 Roblox will remove Premium’s 10% Robux purchase bonus and the profile badge.
- Lifehacker estimates the plan breaks even for players who spend about $25 in Robux each month after the 20% rate begins, and Roblox says bundles that add a monthly Robux allowance will arrive after the initial launch.
