Robinhood Launches Robinhood Chain Public Mainnet

Built on Arbitrum, the layer-2 network lets Robinhood package tokenized stock debt instruments into a cross-border onchain marketplace.

Overview

  • Robinhood went live with the Robinhood Chain public mainnet on Wednesday, rolling out new Stock Tokens and onchain products to eligible users outside the U.S.
  • The new Stock Tokens are structured as debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets Jersey Limited that track company shares but do not give legal ownership or shareholder rights.
  • Robinhood introduced Robinhood Earn, a self-custody lending product for USDG stablecoins that advertises an estimated 7% annual yield and relies on third-party lenders such as Morpho for execution.
  • The launch includes integrations and liquidity support from partners including Uniswap, Pleiades, Alchemy, BitGo and Chainlink and adds perpetual futures and Agentic Accounts for AI-driven trading.
  • The move extends Robinhood’s international push after its WonderFi acquisition, follows recent staff cuts and weaker crypto trading revenue, and mirrors an industry trend of firms building corporate-backed layer‑2 rails.
