Overview
- Tarjeta Bienestar distribution is active at scheduled school and municipal sites, with recent pickups in CDMX (Jan. 19–22) and specific secondary schools in Nuevo León and Coahuila on Jan. 22.
- First deposits start in February, and in Michoacán secondary beneficiaries will receive an accumulated payment covering three bimesters, with 1,900 pesos bimonthly and 700 pesos extra for a second secondary student.
- For primary in 2026, first-time entrants receive a single annual payment (2,500 pesos for one child, 5,000 for two, 7,500 for three), while continuity cases from 2025 keep bimonthly deposits.
- SEP set a staggered primary registration: March 2026 for 4th–6th grades and September 2026 for 1st–3rd, with preschool registration scheduled for 2027.
- To collect the card and retain the benefit, families must present required documents with a RENAPO‑certified CURP, keep data updated in Llave MX, and note that biometric CURP is optional and only one scholarship per level is allowed.
